After a lot of re-scheduling and cancelling (due to my family moving house and J travelling away for work) I finally met with E, J and master N on Sunday for their family session. It was probably one of my most quickest sessions yet, as N was very co-operative and full of smiles! Hope you enjoy your photos E & J.

Today I met with gorgeous miss B and her wonderful parents down at the South Perth foreshore. Miss B was a little bit of a challenge at the start as she was very tired but eventually her daddy got her to sleep and after her [short] nap she was all smiles for her mother! I’ve decided to start using the online tool Polyvore to create “what to wear” snippets for my clients inspiration for what to wear to their session. Here are two bright fun winter session ideas that might help you. The yellow and blue one is a bit over the top, but I love crazy bright colours and think they photograph really well. The red, browns and oranges one is a popular choice for winter clients too!

My favourite however, is this grey and turquoise set. Enough grey to fit the winter look and keep you snug and warm but a touch of turquoise and navy blues bring it out and adds character!

Just one more of the gorgeous brother and sister I photographed yesterday. I just love their eyes so much!!

A while ago I ran a little competition on my facebook fanpage for one lucky family to win a free photo session and full set of prints. The winner was handsome 4 year old Z and his little baby sister, 3 month old A with 107 votes! Today we went down to Hyde Park where I took their pictures! Z was really good for the camera and was an expert at getting little A to squeal and laugh- I couldn’t wait to share their sneak peek!


They both have amazing opposite eyes, Z with deep brown eyes and miss A with stunning pearly blue eyes!

Last weekend we went for a little holiday for 4 days down south in Margaret River. it was absolutely beautiful and we did all the tourist things such as the wineries, cheese+chocolate factories, the maze, animal farm, the caves and more! our son had a blast!

Though I didn’t get very many photos of him looking at the camera and never smiling. He’s at the age where he is SO over the camera shoved in his face every day and hates when I stop to take a photo. A lot of photographers joke it is called “Photographer’s Child Syndrome” and I am positive he has it!

We were going for a walk into the forrest part of the farm we stayed on and all was good until I saw some beautiful light so quickly crouched down to get a shot. of course Seb hears me stop and turns around and starts screaming at me for stopping and not following, and cries when I start taking photos. The second I jump back up he is happy to go on his walk again! He did this every single time I tried to take a photo of him.

In the end, the best photos I got of him were from behind.

The day we left I was greeted with an absolutely gorgeous bright pink sunrise that quickly turned into an orange sky that looked on fire! Seconds after the sun actually rose, the sky started pouring with rain and we drove back to Perth in the rain.

Another one of my beautiful nephew from the other day at 7 weeks old! My sister had come over for a visit when he had ripped out his feeding tube. He still had a couple of hours before his next feed so my sister asked me to take a few photos before she went back to the hospital to get his tube re-inserted. I just love him so much!!

I cut this branch down from my mandarin tree after the big Perth storm that had knocked down two of my gum trees! By the time I got to use this branch though all the leaves and twigs had dried and fallen off. I ‘photoshopped’ the mandarins onto it to add a touch of colour.

I’m such a bad blogger! I need to catch up with sneak peeks before another Month is here and nothing done! Here’s a sweet little princess who just would not look at the camera no matter what I tried. But I did get some!

It feels like I’ve been waiting forever to photograph my little nephew. For the first 5 weeks of his life he was in NICU so I didn’t get to see him until he was allowed out of hospital. He still has to have a feeding tube and breathing/heart monitor, but other than that he is perfect and so gorgeous! These are his newborn photographs I took when he was 6 weeks old which was a week ago. I’m very behind in blogging!
